“Really enjoyed out trip, it’s a short kayak journey and your eyes do adjust to see in the dark (although you get some lights from the hotels nearby). We went in Jan and still saw quite a lot, so would recommend”

6.Bioluminescence by Kayak and Stargazing.

★★★★★★★★★★4.6 · 95 reviews · from $49

Paddle from Las Nubes toward the Punta Mosquito sandbanks, then walk and swim in shallow sea water as plankton glows around your feet and body. This two-hour tour includes hotel pickup, kayaks, and an English or Spanish guide. Ask for Victor if available, and bring water shoes, repellent, a towel, and dry clothes.

“Overall a good experience to learn about and see the bioluminescent algae! Tour guide was lovely and very knowledgable. We got picked up and taken to the beach near mosquito point, kayaked out to the split and then swam with the algae. One note to say would the taxi for 5 meant that 2 of us were in the trailer part of a golf cart - this was fine for us, but wouldn’t be for everyone! It was priced a little high for what you got for your money compared to other longer tours that include food, drinks etc.”
